About the practitioner:
Hello and welcome to A Point of Balance Acupuncture. My name is Yvonne (Evie) Edington, and I am a licensed acupuncturist and a licensed tuina (Chinese medical massage) therapist and member of the British Acupuncture Council (www.acupuncture.org.uk). I graduated from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (www.LCTA.com) taking a BSc (Hons) in acupuncture and tuina.

Although I grew up in a traditional home where Western medicine was practiced, as an adult I came to understand the value of other medical traditions. My philosophy of health includes all paths that lead to balance; however, I am most passionate about Chinese medicine (acupuncture and tuina). The foundation of Chinese medicine is about balance whether it is yin and yang, hot and cold, moist and dry, or the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, or water. Each path to health has a place and purpose. My hope is that you will choose acupuncture or tuina as the path you take toward balance and health.
